We had a fantastic day on the water with Alex and Michael. We caught some blue striped snappers and some squirrel fish we released. We were giving fish fillets to take home and cook. We saw dolphins and a mother and baby whale and escort male. Weather was perfect and we met great people from Chicago, Canada and Miami. I wholeheartedly recommend Maui Fun Charters.
Excellent trip with Alex and Mike on the Marjorie Ann! We took our 4 and 6 year old boys, they had a great time. The 3 adults (myself included) had a great time too! Guys got us on the fish and kept us fishing until we had plenty for dinner! 100% reccomend this boat if you have young kids and want to keep some fish to eat. Fish was expertly fileted and bagged up for us. Thanks again!
Captain and deck hand were great there really wasn't much fishing. If you call dropping lines straight down on the reef and catching small little snappers fishing then this is the boat for you. For what I paid I expected to go out deeper looking for bigger fish and actually fishing. Update owner called me and was going to try to work things out then never responded to me. what a Rip off
We had so much fun on our fishing trip with Maui Fun Charters! Mike and Alex took such great care of us! They were so attentive! We caught many fish and they cleaned them for us! We had a wonderful seafood dinner at home that night! The boat was so clean and so nice to be on the ocean on this boat! When we come back to the island, we will book another trip!
Went out on a Sunday morning with Alex and Ana. Personable crew that enjoyed conversation about Maui, fishing, sharks and snorkel gear. Captain Alex knows the spots to hook up. We caught multiple fish including two large Amber jacks, small tuna, soldier fish and various snapper. Our boys age 12, 13 and 16 had a blast and we were able to bring home some fish for lunch - it was excellent! We caught two large Amber Jacks and Alex wisely let the second one go as we had enough for lunch. We liked the fact that the appreciate the ocean and want to keep the fishery sustainable. Really this is a two for one deal as the whale watching was out of this world. I would definitely do it again. Weather was good and ocean was calm however, I don't think it is always like this. Family members prone to sea sickness so we applied scopolamine patches before leaving. Worked like a charm.
